Born from a passion for kids, built for this community
Discovery Kids Club was founded in Salmon Arm, BC by Teena Billey — Early Childhood Educator, mom of three boys, and a Salmon Arm local through and through. Teena believed after school care could be more than just supervision — it could be a genuine extension of a child's day.
A community need, a community answer
As a mom of three boys born and raised in Salmon Arm, Teena knew firsthand how hard it was to find after school care that felt warm, intentional, and truly good for kids. So she built it herself — drawing on her years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator and her deep roots in this community.
Discovery Kids Club was created to be the kind of place Teena would want for her own children: safe, nurturing, full of adventure, and staffed by people who genuinely care. Every family that walks through our doors becomes part of that same vision.

We design each afternoon with intention — balancing structure and freedom, activity and rest, group time and quiet corners. Kids leave feeling settled, not just supervised.

Safety first, always
Licensed under BC Child Care Licensing Regulation. All staff hold current first aid. Our space is designed with children's safety at every turn.
Genuine connection
We keep our groups small so every child is truly known — their interests, their moods, their friendships. Kids thrive when adults actually see them.
Partnership with families
We communicate openly with parents — daily updates, open-door conversations, and a genuine welcome whenever you want to be involved.
